Wrangell-St. Elias suggestions?

I’m planning to visit Wrangell-St. Elias next summer. I am looking for suggestions for packrafting trips. I want to do a combination of hiking and rafting. I have kayaking experience and plan to have packrafting experience by next summer. I’m a beginner so I’m looking for fairly safe water. The video I’ve seen of packrafting in the NP makes me think I can handle some of the routes.

Any suggestions?

Hey Brad,

Check out Kennicott Wilderness Guides, they do some trips in the area and it should give you some ideas for a jumping-off point. We’re thinking about a trip in that area next year as well, see my post a little further down I have some videos posted.

Thanks for the tip. I’m leaning toward Nebesna to McCarthy, if I can get all the training and classes I need to get ready for that trip. If not, some of those routes the guides do look nice too.
