Upper Upper Moose Creek

Directions: There is a great trail that starts a couple hundred yards back from the bridge (don’t cross the bridge) where there is a rock wash. Follow the trail past woody-boof and continue past the cabin (the cabin section will need to be portaged). Just beyond the cabin is a great four-wheeler trail. When it ends at a “No-trespassing sign” walk up the rock wash to the river and you will find a trail cut through the alders that follows the creek.

Description: There are several great drops up this run, a few we haven’t run yet. I’d call it 3+ at 250ish. It will easily be class 4 and harder at higher water levels. Some of the drops are pretty serious.

I would suggest scouting these drops as you go up, a couple have some real consequence if ran on a bad line; “Woody Boof,” 5 minutes from parking, (find it) it will sneak up on you and the river right side is very dangerous, “Brow Tines” up past the cabin you will come to a big drop up against a rock wall, scout this drop, the lines are tight and it could be a beat-down if you go the wrong way. We called the section above this, “get fired up” it is a long continuous section full of boulders and boulder drops. The creek is pretty steep, we have scouted as far as the island, there are eddies at 250.
Just a 30 minute walk, have fun
