Sewing thread for seat repair

I need to sew the back of my 2007 seat onto the front (it got ripped off in surf).
Any recommendations on thread for this and/or general alpacka repair?

Hi Carol, any good nylon (or dacron, for that matter) thread should work great for this. Natural fiber threads (ex: cotton) are more prone to rot out with so much moisture exposure, and it’s generally best for longevity if the fabric and thread type are matched. Since the boats are made out of nylon, that’s the best thing to use. We use nylon thread in the 60-weight range.

Great, thanks!
