S. Fork Flathead Trip July 1-5th

Heading into the S. Fork Flathead the week of the 4th. Was originally planning on taking it from the headwaters to Meadow creek like last year but thinking of maybe not doing a shuttle and doing a loop Trip. The plan:

Benchmark Trailhead up over Stadler pass to Danaher.
Danaher/S. Fork to White River.
Hike White river (maybe float it a day also) over Larch Hill and Down to West Fork of the Sun.
W. Fork Sun back to Benchmark.

Any suggestions or input. Have done the S. Fork last year but interested in West Fork Sun Beta.

I look forward to your trip report. Your mileage sounds like hell, but very rewarding I’m sure. I remember putting in 200.5 miles in on the PCT (WA section) in 4 Days, 8 hours, 26 minutes when I was a younger man. Even did 52 miles, in VA, in 18.5 hours, having to snowshoe parts of it. So I can imagine the exhilaration. I’ll keep an eye out for your (unofficial) registry at Big Prairie. Go get’em tiger! :slight_smile:
