Lower blue mountains paddle on ANZAC day. Got the 3:40 train from Central. Walked to Pisgah Rock. Road down to the Grenbrook Creek ford was closed.
The scramble down Pisgah in the rain was interesting.
The river was a rising churning mess. 2 swims. One mild head knock. Cold.
River began to get a bit mental. Walked out before Jack Evans up what I will call “Daves Fault”. Packed up in hail, rain, whiteout.
Walked back to Glenbrook.
Would be a much nicer trip in better weather and more stable water. Hard to grade due to trees etc floating past.
