Has anyone pack rafted Peters Creek (The Peters Creek below Petersville) begining below the forks and going to the Kahiltna River? If so how long of a trip is it, what is the water like, is there any fishing, and how can one take out down in that area. Are there any trails/roads that reach the lower Peters Creek. Can one hike out to Shulin Lake and take out by float plane? Any information would be appreciated.
Thanks, Lin
I’ve rafted it several times, roughly 20 miles. Mostly Class II at low water with some Class III potential at higher water levels, a great float with good fishing. It is a lot of fun when it is running like mud, huge boulder gardens make for a splashier ride. Float plane out of Shulin lake is an option.
