I’d like to do day/weekend trips this spring to practice class II/III (not into class IV so much) in creeks/rivers in the area. Also, wouldn’t it be fun if a group of packrafters showed up at some of the spring whitewater kayak festivals in the area? Last time I went to a whitewater kayak festival I had the only IK and it was a tandem (but not a packraft). People at the festival were surprised that we did class IV chutes/drops on it. This time I’d like to play it safe and keep it class III or less, because I have limited whitewater packrafting experience.
