melbourne-seymour-tahbilk retutrn bikeraft

I am keen for a one day trip on the goulburn, leaving spencer st on the train at 7.30 am or so and returning 13 or so hours later. Plan is to train to seymour, ride to put in point to be determined, paddle 4 or 5 hours to tahbilk winery, have some lunch there before riding back to seymour for a return train around 7.30pm. I think july 10 is the date to go for. I might do the same trip but extend the paddle up to nagambie lakes, camp, and ride back to broadford or kilmore on the sunday.
Any takers?

A bit too far for me for a day trip

That’d be a big day! The Goulburn there is basically flat water paddling - albeit with a current.

Finding some accessible white water by public transport might be challenging- though the Yarra at Warburton might be ok after rain, and I suppose the Homestead Rd loop of the at Wonga Park is also accessible by train and bike, but again needs higher water levels.
