So this has been done many many times by other craft, as there is road access to both put in and take out
Beautiful little easy class three river,
Little Nelchina seems to run pretty clear
Big Nelchina runs a very thick light gray/white
Tazlina lake and Tazlina river offer fun continuous class II/III
Take out at Richardson Highway with great views of Wrangell Range
Fishing for greyling on side creeks
Takes about 5-6 days at a leisurly pace
Be ware of windy conditions on Tazlina Lake, may have to hike around, which would be quite possible but unpleasant following the lake shore.
