Greetings from Kalamzoo (Michigan)

This year I pulled the trigger and purchased a Denali Llama and have been loving it.

I incorporated the Llama into an Isle Royale trip this past summer. It more than handled the Lake Superior whitecaps and clapotis in Rock Harbor and in Lake Ritchie and was very portageable between interior lakes. Now if it only had more of a keel so that it didn’t get blown around while I am trying to fish…

To minimize wind drift try making a small drogue or sea anchor. I use my rowing kit on my Fjord Explorer to stop me from spinning but a small sea anchor slows your drift as well as stops you from spinning.
