I was considering taking my Fjord with the rowing kit down the A,B, and C sections of the Green River just below the Flamming Gorge damn in Oct for a fishing trip. This section is relatively smooth and low that time of year and since I will be focusing on fly fishing it would be much easier if I rowed instead of paddled. There are a lot of fishermen who do this section on float tubes so I can’t imagine it would be an issue with the oars. Anyone here do any moving water with the rowing kit?
I have been rowing class 2 to 3+ for years in with that boat. You should have no problem. When I go, I take a sea kayak pump to remove any water from the floor so that I don’t need to pull over. Enjoy! -Mark
