Fairly new to whitewater fishing/rafting.
I purchased a pontoon but found that I didnt ever use it as required the trailer and shuttle service.
So thinking about a packraft.
I dont see a “lot” of packrafting being used for class2 with semall sections class 3 rivers together with gear. What are peoples thoughts on this. I know its been done - just kind find good resources to read about it.
The rivers Im thinking of using are for PNW OP like Forks WA and greater WA state.
A lot of guys around here like the grizzly watermaster - but they really dont look suitable for more technical water.
Anyone have
a) Any good links / resources to read where carrying a 2 piece 9ft rod broken down in rod holder and dry bag (20+lbs) setup on similar waters.
b) Raft recommendations - either style even if not true packraft.
Im not looking for long hikes. Something that can fit in boot of car. Assemble and move from road/carpark down to river maybe 500ft. Just ideally not framed and as stable/safe/dry as can be for a beginner whitewater guy. And yes Im not planning on going down any class3 to begin with - but I know in say 2 years if I go with it there are a few small sections I might attempt if experience is there then in higher cfs.
