Drysuit Key Features & Recommendations

Hey fellow packrafters, I’m interested to hear others takes on the successes and failures with drysuits for packrafting. I’ve been doing some research and I’m curious to hear your opinions.

GORE-TEX material seems to be popular due to it’s breathability, but I’ve heard others preach about the Swift Entry from Kokotat and it’s minimalistic and lightweight design. What did you think?

I’m also interested in overskirts, but I’m not sure if they’re really necessary or just a nice-to-have feature, given we’re packrafting and not rolling often like kayakers. Do they make a big difference in terms of comfort and dryness?

And what about key accessories - are there any that you consider must-haves for a packrafting trip? I’ve heard people speak highly on the NRS neoprene socks and the Astral water shoes. What have been your experiences?

What do you think are the most important features in a drysuit?

What drysuits due you recommend for packrafters, esp. for multi-day expeditions and Class IV whitewater?
