On October 22nd we hiked into Caribou Creek about a 2 hour hike. We put it just below the falls and floated back to the highway about 4 miles. The gauge on the Mat at Glacier Park was reading 1.9 but I think that it might have been frozen. At this level it was pretty easy to scout ahead. There were a couple of places where we had to portage due to the ice being almost all the way across but other than that it was good. It was fun float. New poster so I cannot post pictures.
It’s a little steep getting to the creek. Bring rope.
