A link to a short trip report I posted to BPL. The River Tarn is very popular in summer and won’t ever rate as a wilderness trip but if you combine a packraft with going out of season and a hike up the Sentier de Gorges du Tarn you get a beautiful float trip with some enjoyable easy rapids (and great food and wine).

nice trip. The Tarn is one of the most popular Paddling sources in whole Europe! However, havn’t done it myself.
Are you from Europe or just visiting overseas?

Hi Sven,
This is a very busy trip during the July/August holiday season and I would recommend avoiding this (we were there in June). The hike up the valley with the boats really adds to the experience.
I am based in the UK so in Europe!
