i am looking for paddlers interested in a trip down the Dirty Devil river in early April. No guarantee that there will be runnable flows but I am hoping to put together a crew in case it is happening. I’ve done it once before, class 2 water, but quite remote and committing. Anyone interested?
We ran it last weekend at 110cfs. Barely runnable. Couldn’t enjoy the scenery because you were so focused on staying the micro-channels.
Ended up taking out early and using a different exit than planned.
I’ve run it at 150 and I should have known better. I’ll go back for 200 and up.
Thank you for the info…we have changed our plan to either Gates of Lodore or the Escalante, depending on weather. I’m sure I’ll get back on the DD some day…
