I’m planning to packraft Desolation Canyon sometime early next year in the glorious red rock wonderland of southeast Utah, probably around April. For those who don’t know this is a 90 mile section of the Green River, class II-III water. There are two highly regarded areas with Indian art and ruins, Nine Mile Canyon and Range Creek, and I plan to spend a day at each of those places. The trip will last roughly eight days. We will raft from Sand Wash to Swasey’s Beach, just outside the town of Green River. Participants will share shuttle costs. Still working out shuttle details.
