I was just wondering …how much weight they can actually hold…if a 300 lbs man wants to float down the stream with moose quarters…will that work??

A 250 pound man can paddle an old model Llama with an 80 pound boy perched on the bow. The Llama will stay well above the water but turns poorly. I’d be fine on moving water with no waves (with my son), but I don’t know that I’d do anything that required me to steer quickly. One of the larger models might suit your needs better if you’re hauling moose quarters.
The Llama with the 250 pound man works impressively well in white water.
