Chilkoot Trail -July 2016

I am hiking and Packrafting the Chilkoot Trail this July. Anyone have suggestions of where I can packraft the bodies of waters along the trail. I have never done this hike. Thanks

I hiked it in early August and had some snow in the passes but lakes were all clear.

Canadian side of the pass has several nice lakes to explore. If you camp at Deep or Bare loon lake you will have time for an evening paddle. Lindeman creek or Cutting across from Long lake to Mountain lake and down Lindeman creek looks like a possibility then paddle to Lindeman City camp. I have not done this just thoughts looking at Google Earth. North end of Lake Lindeman to Bennett Lake looks like it has some whitewater. I hiked it before I packrafted so I wasn’t looking for paddle opportunities.

Take a berry bucket for black currants(US side) and blue berries!! Great on your morning granola!!!

I kind of remember some lively water between long and Deep lake.

Crater lake.

Long or Deep lake.

Bare Loon lake.
