Sweetheart and Gilbert both feed into Gilbert Bay inside Port Snettisham. Gilbert creek is nothing but a shallow clear creek. Not bad for a quick swim, but not enough water movement for boating.

Sweetheart is a short and steep clear creek. The first 1/2 mile of creek has several powerful and wood filled falls. The runable falls all have undercut rocks. There are ways to sneak around, but a mishap would not pleasant. On map there is a 1/2 mile run about 3/4 of a mile up creek. I did not scout this section due to amount of wood in creek. The runable sections of creek had a similar feel to Carlson creek. Class II to III with log jams ever 100 feet.

The upper section of river is worth checking out on future trips to the area.

Was just here fishing and staring at the water recently- there were some tempting lines in the high water. There is also an additional hazard here in the lower 3 pools if you're not familiar with the area. This area is fished heavily primarily with cast nets a few weeks a year for sockeye salmon and there are a plethora of nets hung up on several snags hidden under the water especially in the lowest pool. The high flows of this year dislodged none of the wood but a several nets were added to the collection. Cast nets have a long leash on them that will likely be free though the net may be wrapped. At least one person was very nearly drowned several years ago by one of these leashes. Entrapment danger is extremely high if you swim. The hydraulic at the bottom pool was somewhat nasty looking at high water as well with no clean lines through.
