South Fork of Flathead trip

Our trip was 7-19 to 7-23 water levels were 750 CFS on the 19th dropping to 625 CFS on the 23th. On 7-19 we hiked in from the Lodgepole trailhead to Youngs creek just above the Hahn Creek Cabin.
On day 2 we put in the pack raft and float / dragged to Big Prairie. There was quite a bit of dragging through the Youngs creek canyon due to the low water levels but once we reach the confluence on the SF it was not to bad of going. It would have been faster to hike the last 7 miles of Youngs creek to the confluence but it was not real bad float/dragging Youngs Creek.

Day three we floated from Big Prairie to Little Salmon Park with very little dragging.

Day four was Little Salmon Park to the Mid creek takeout no issues floating this section.

Day five we portaged the Meadow Creek Gorge and put back in below it and floated to Spotted Bear. We did not go to the Meadow Creek Trailhead / Cedar Flats put in. Instead we hiked down to the Meadow Creek Airstrip and off the end of the airstrip down to the river, We then put in above Harrison Creek which is basically just up and across the river from the Cedars Flats put in.

It was a great trip water was low but once we were on the South Fork there was not much dragging. We took 5 days for the trip but it could be done faster. We did not get to floating until around 10 and usually we camped by 5 or 6.
