North Fork of the Sun

I am going to be in the Bob the last part of July into the first week of August. Our route includes packrafting the North Fork of the Sun from Headquarters Creek to Sun Butte right before Gibson Res. We won’t be on the North Fork of the Sun until the first week of August. Is this going to be too late? I’m hoping since the Bob had a good snow year that we might luck out.

It will be questionable. I’ve only floated that stretch in May and June, with levels in the 1000-1500 cfs range. Currently its at 270 and dropping quickly.

The first half below the Headquarters bridge is a bit more constricted than the bottom part, so you might squeak by there. The more braided lower stretch I would guess will have a low probability of being worth it.
