Feathercraft seat back

I bought a feathercraft seat back, moved my seat forward about 3 inches. I need to put in some anchor points for the forward straps on the seat. My question is will the ace hardware glue be strong enough for this application?

Thanks
Jayson

Ace hardware glue… No
Aquaseal glue… No
Get some real glue for boat if you want them to stay glued.

Stabond Adhesive (2 part glue)
Clifton Urethane Adhesive (one part glue)
Clifton Urethane Adhesive (two part glue-stronger)

you will also need to clean/prep the surface
Light grade sandpaper
MEK (Methyl ethyl ketone) this you can get at Ace or boating stores, and use very sparingly with gloves.

These glues and cleaner/prep are available at local boating shops or on line at NRS, Cascade Outfitters, or any number of raft kayak shops… NRS also has detailed instructions on application on there site. Do not forget to heat both surfaces (hairdrier works) and glue both surfaces, very important! Follow the instructions carefully if you want the attachments to hold.

was hoping for an easier way but looks like I’ll stick up my back porch! Thanks for the info.
