I’m thinking of packrafting the Canyonlands figure 8 as described by Forrest McCarthy. I’ll be in Moab for the packrafting class the weekend of April 28, so I’m thinking a late afternoon start into Indian Creek Canyon on Sunday. Hike the rest of the way to the confluence in the morning, float to Spanish Bottom and camp at Chimney Rock. The next day, early rise and hike to down South Horse Canyon. Float the the Green River to the confluence, take out at the bottom of Red Lake Canyon. Hike back to Elephant Hill. It’s a pretty long and challenging route to fit into 2.25 days.
