The Milk River, Alberta BC

We did a short 3-day, 2-night packraft run down the Milk River in Southern Alberta, starting in the town of Milk River and ending at Writing on Stone Provincial Park. An enjoyable trip where hoodoos, cliff swallows, prairie, and badlands meet.

Logistics: Camping was at the Gold Springs Park Campground and the beautiful, free, first-come-first-served Poverty Rock site. We did it at CMS 24 which makes for pleasant rafting, with a few easy class 2 rapids. There is plenty of information available online, so I won’t say too much more, aside from providing a video link. Cheers!
